Passenger Car[ | ]

Summary[ | ]

The passenger car is used in the game when passengers are dropped-off at the airport. These passengers do not use the airport bus to travel to the airport.

Functionality[ | ]

Simairport Taxi

The Simairport taxi sprite

A passenger car arrives at the airport and drives to the roadside which is most adjacent to the drop-off zone, just like a passenger bus. It then emits it's contained passenger(s) who continue into the ticketing zone of the airport. The car then leaves the airport premises, unlike a passenger bus, which continues to pick-up other passengers who have arrived at the airport. Unlike it's bus counterpart, the functionality of passengers being picked up in personal cars has not yet been added.

Passenger Taxi[ | ]

Summary[ | ]

Functionally identical to the Passenger Car described above. Primarily just a different look for the vehicle.

Passenger Bus[ | ]

Summary[ | ]

The passenger bus is used in the game when passengers are dropped-off and pickup-up from the airport. When a bus arrives, it both drops-off and then picks-up passengers.

Simairport Bus

Functionality[ | ]

A passenger bus arrives at the airport and drives to the roadside which is most adjacent to the drop-off zone, just like a passenger car. It then emits it's contained passenger(s) who continue into the ticketing zone of the airport. The bus then proceeds to pick-up passengers, unlike a passenger car, which drives out of the airport premises. Much like when picking-up passengers, the bus approaches the road section most adjacent to the pick-up zone, picks-up as many passengers as it can (no full capacity) until it's time limit of 5 in-game minutes is up. It then leaves in order to not block the airport's road network.

Airport Vehicles[ | ]

  • Golf Cart

Golf Cart[ | ]

Summary[ | ]

The golf cart is used in the game when an automatic (conveyor belt) baggage system is not installed and the airport staff have to manually transfer baggage from the ticketing desks to the airplane and from the airplane to a baggage carousel or baggage area. They use the golf carts to carry a large amount of baggage at once.

Functionality[ | ]

The carts are dispatched from the ticketing desks. When a golf cart is not in use, it is not visible or usable/interactable. The staff operates as a golf cart when transferring baggage.

Cost[ | ]

Golf carts are not purchasable. The cost is for the worker who is operating as the golf cart.

Simairport Baggage Car

Baggage Car[ | ]

Summary[ | ]

The baggage car is a purchasable vehicle which transports baggage between airplanes and the baggage depots.

Functionality[ | ]

With a functioning baggage system, the baggage car will visit airplanes at the gate after arrival, unload the baggage from the airplane, and then transport that baggage to the assigned baggage depot for that gate. A baggage car (not necessarily the same one, if there are more than one in the airport) will travel to the baggage depot for the gate, load baggage, and then travel to the gate to load bags on the airplane.

Cost[ | ]

A baggage car can be purchased for $2,500 at a hanger (small, medium, or large). The baggage car costs $120 per day in wages.

A baggage car can be sold (freeing the spot in the hanger) to recover $1,000.

Simairport Fuel Truck

Fuel Truck[ | ]

Summary[ | ]

The fuel truck provides refueling services to airplanes at a gate.

Functionality[ | ]

A fuel truck will service planes at a gate when that plane purchases refueling services. The truck will travel from the hanger to the gate to refuel the plane.

If the gate is equipped with a fuel port, fuel will be pulled directly from the fuel network, and the truck will travel back to the hanger (or another gate) after completing the refueling. If the gate does not have a fuel port, the truck will travel to the refuel station to top off the truck's fuel store before returning to the hanger

Cost[ | ]

The fuel truck is stored in a hangar. It costs $5,000 to purchase and $144 to run (daily).

The fuel truck can be sold for $3,000.
